Covering Letter: A personal covering letter from the applicant, on A4 size paper, explaining the purpose and duration of visit, professional status of applicant and who will bear the expenses. It should also mention the other country/countries that are covered during the entire trip (if any). For self-employed/businessmen, the letter should be on plain paper and for employed individuals it should be on company’s letterhead. The letter should be addressed to ‘The Visa Officer, Consulate General of Italy, Kolkata’.
Insurance: Overseas medical insurance with minimum coverage of EUR 30,000 for emergency hospital and repatriation expenses. It should cover the entire duration of stay in Italy as well as 15 days after the date of departure.
Accommodation: Hotel confirmation with the name of applicant.
