Application Form: A Visa Application Form that is completely filled and signed by the Applicant. (Tip –Use only one pen to fill the form; overwriting /using whitener is not allowed.)

Cover Letter: Covering letter from Applicant addressed to ‘The Visa Officer, Consulate General of Singapore, Mumbai’ stating name of the applicant, designation, nationality, passport number, purpose of visit, period of stay with dates and saying that all the expenses including medical, boarding and lodging will be borne the Applicant. In case applicant is travelling with someone, their name, relationship with the applicant and passport details should be mentioned on the covering letter.

Financial Statement: Updated Bank Statement of the last 3 months for first time travellers. If applicant has traveled to Europe/USA/UK/Australia/New Zealand on a valid passport, then bank statement is not required.

Applicant's contact number must be mentioned on the cover letter).

Accommodation Proof: Hotel booking.

Occupation Proof: Personal Bank Statement of the last 3 months. Proof of business ownership or NOC from the company on its letter head along with a copy of employee ID card.

Honeymooners: Original or well-scanned copy of the Wedding Card is needed.

Air Ticket: Confirmed Flight Tickets.

Invitation Letter: If visiting family, relative or friend, an invitation letter is needed from the invitee with their Singapore address, contact, FIN/NRIC number of invitee with relationship details. The letter should be addressed to ‘The Visa Officer, Singapore High Commission – New Delhi’. Also, other documents including PR card copy, Passport copy (bio data pages), relationship proof and NRIC card copy are needed.

Application Form: Duly filled and signed Visa Application Form is needed. The form should not have any corrections made using whitener and over-writing words/statement is not allowed. In case of minors, both parents should sign the form.

Photograph: Matt-finished, coloured photographs, 35mm x 45mm in size with white background (4 numbers) are needed. It should be an 80% face close up and should not be older than 3 months. The photo should not have been used in earlier visas.

Cover Letter: A covering letter addressed to the consulate containing complete address and contact number of applicant is needed. It should be signed by principal applicant.

Occupation Proof: Recent Employment ID card and salary slip of the last 3 month are needed for employees. While for businessmen, their visiting card and business registration proof is needed. In case of students, copy of their ID card is needed.

Financial Statement: : Original bank statements for 6 months with good balance. In case of unemployed, married female travelling without husband, husband’s financial and employment documents should be submitted. For an unemployed, young person travelling without parents, father’s financial and employment documents should be submitted.

Only Confirmed tickets are needed. If not confirmed, do not provide. However, original ticket/s is mandatory for Transit Visa.

Only confirmed Accommodation proof is needed. If accommodation is not confirmed, do not provide.

Minor children travelling without parents, NOC from parents with their signature proof is needed.

If spouse’s name is not endorsed in passport, Marriage Certificate is needed.

Honeymooners don’t have marriage certificate or spouse’s name is not endorsed in passport, marriage confirmation letter from parents with signature proof and wedding invitation copy is needed.

For Transit Visa, original ticket copy is required.

Agent Authorisation Letter to be collected from the client, for sub-agent booking.

For incentive tours, letter from the company sponsoring the tour with the complete details of applicants and business proof is needed.

For group tours, letter from the tour operators with the complete details of applicants required.

Applicants residing in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Pondicherry and Andaman & Nicobar Islands are eligible to apply in Chennai Consulate. The applicants who are residing in the above locations, but their passport issued outside of the Jurisdiction need to submit a government authorised document for address proof.
